After reading many posts on here about problems with the super hub and wireless routing and experiencing the same I took the plunge and purchased a TP-Link Archer C9. Since enabling modem mode on the hub and connecting the new router I havent had a single signal drop. Previously the signal would constantly drop or performance degrade to the point I had to reboot it at least once a day.
You have to ask why Virgin dont just supply a router as the hub they provide is pretty much useless as a wireless router.
The TP-Link was a piece of cake to set up, less than five minutes.
