Streaming video (iplayer, amazon) and TV Box rebooting - related?

So the last week or so the internet is working fine other than randomly (most evenings after 9pm) and at other odd points during the day streaming media such as iplayer and amazon prime video has been laggy. Unsure if it's unrelated, at least 3 times the Tivo box has just rebooted itself with no warning.

Hi djsmiley2k,

These 2 issues could be related. I have run some basic tests but am unable to find anything awry with your broadband. The TiVo® looks OK to me but to be honest you're better off posting for help on the TiVo® boards so that someone more experienced in TiVo® related matters can take a look. 

For your broadband issues I'd like you to provide the below information please:

  • Does this issue affect wired or wireless devices (or both)?
  • How many devices are affected?

Please provide any other information that may help to diagnose what's causing this. To be honest I'm not averse to arranging for an engineer visit so that your local connection can be checked but I'd like to see if there's any help or advice we can offer from here first.
