Streaming buffering

Hi, our speed had been upgraded to the 100 vivid service, however we still experience frequent buffering when streaming on IPlayer or Netflix etc. and when watching catch up on the main box. We have run all the standard checks as detailed on the Virgin site but buffering still occurs.Any suggestions as to how this can be rectified?

Wired connection or Wireless?

Are you using other high bandwidth applications at the same time?

what type of device are you using?

Hi DonnaBa, 

 

Welcome to the forums, I'm sorry to see you have had trouble with streaming wirelessly. 

 

I have taken a look at your connection and everything looks great from this side.

 

Are you having the same trouble with a wired connection, pop the Hub into modem only mode with the computer in safe mode with networking enabled and let us know if this makes a difference.

 

It may also be worth taking a look at Getting the best Wireless Network Signal

 

Let us know how you get on.

Wireless, and using 2 normal smartphones and an iPad , but only stream on the iPad .

I am getting the same problem. One hour long programme has buffered over 50 times. I have reset my box but it hasn't improved. I'm fed up with it now
