Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

http://prntscr.com/bqyl9f

Check Service Status link shows Something broken. when will something be fixed?

Also I'm sick of my superhub rebooting. It's been doing it for around 6 months on and off, but lately has been 2-3 times a day. I phoned customer service who sent out a new hub, but this is doing the same thing.

Also some webpages load quickly, but most of the time I get a rotating circle with waiting.. at the bottom. If I hit refresh the page usually appears no problem.

This happens on a wired PC, a Wireless Pc, an Ipad and a mobile phone. I have swapped my internal network router/switch for a plain switch but still happens.

The blue light goes off and the greens start flashing then the blue comes back on. Happening about 3 times a day atm.

Any help?

Re: Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

Hi motogoat,

Apologies for your current connection issues. I have just checked Service Status and no broadband fault is showing. I wonder if that particular problem has cleared up for you?

With regards to your rebooting hub would you please make certain that the power supply unit is plugged directly into a single wall-mounted socket? No extension sockets or cables.

Let me know if that helps . If not I'll most likely arrange for an engineer to visit, just in case there's a local cause that's not detectable from here.

Awaiting your reply Smiley Happy

Re: Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

Hi. yes the status page is now working.

Unfortunately I have no spare sockets to use. I have 2 wall sockets and at least 8 different things that need to be plugged in.

Thanks for mentioning about the power supply, I remember I didn't use the new one as it was exactly the same spec as the old one and is routed (tied) around the back of my printer. I will change that now and see how it goes.

Re: Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

Hi Heather and Thanks.
Unfortunately, changing the PSU had no effect, although we did have a genuine outage in my street yesterday where the phone went off and then the internet went off, the router has rebooted itself twice in the last 24 hours and I am still sometimes getting the status waiting for connection in my browser. I had posted on your facebook page and they think it might be the wi-fi causing the router to reboot so I am now looking to setup another wi-fi router so I can turn off the wi-fi on the superhub.

Hey motogoat,

Thanks for the update Smiley Very Happy

I'm disappointed to hear that changing the PSU hasn't helped Smiley Sad

I'd be interested in knowing how you get on with an additional router, would you please update us again at a later date?

Thanks for your patience,

Take care.

Re: Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

Hi,

Things going from bad to worse. The additional router I have (tp-link) with dd-wrt firmware, kept freezing and had to be reset 2-3 times a day.

During this time the VM superhub (with wireless switched off) still rebooted itself (although not so often it seemed) and the Internet was still really slow.

I have gone back to using only the VM Superhub with wireless and have switched my PC to a wired connection via Mains plug-in adapters.

The router is still rebooting itself and I still have speed issues. (Waiting for connection appears a lot) on both PC's and wireless devices.

Hey motogoat,

Thanks for getting back in touch Smiley Happy

I'm sorry that you're still experiencing difficulties.

I think it's time to explore other options like a new unit all together. I'll drop you a PM (purple envelope, top right) to confirm your address.

Speak with you very soon,

Take care.

Re: Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

Thanks, but as I said in my initial post, customer services already sent out a new hub, and it's doing the same thing.

Re: Service Staus page broken and router rebooting itself

Hey motogoat,

Thanks for getting back to me Smiley Happy

It's worth trying you on a Superhub 2 as I can see you're still connecting via a Superhub 1. I don't see any other reason for the reboots you're experiencing, all your power and SNR levels are looking healthy.

Let me know what you're thinking.

Take care.
