Router disconnections

I have been getting disconection from my router for around 4 months now (green arrow flashing )sometimes everyday for a week some days over 10 times a day
i have had various engineers out for the same problem saying there is nothing wrong with my connection so if there is nothing wrong with my connection why is my router dropping my connection????
this problem started to happen when i went away for a few days and when i had got back my neighbours in the same flat above me were having a virgin line put in this problem has been happening ever since ther connection was put it

the last time i rang the person on the phone told me to turn off my router and disconect the antenna and wait for 1 minute i did this and then they told me to reconect the antenna and turn the router back on again i did this and exactly at the time of the router coming on i got a very bad echo on my phone line everytime i spoke i would hear a loud echo of my own voice speaking for the rest of the conversation i told the person on the other line this and said i needed my phonline testing and they said that they would now put me through to the department for the phone so i was put on hold with music for about 10 minutes then the phone went dead!!
can anyone tell me why i keep getting disconections since my neighbours had there virgin line put in and what is it with the phone echoing

Re: Router disconnections

Hi klunk_64,

Welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your services.

I've run a diagnostic on your equipment but the router seems to be offline at the moment. Is it switched off at your end?

As for the phone line, is it still echoing now? Are you able to test another handset in the socket?

Speak soon Smiley Very Happy

Josh

Re: Router disconnections

sorry yes I never switch my router off but have been lately as to try to reconnect you might have been trying when I was trying to reconnect someone on virgin tel 150 told me to turn the router off and take out the antenna as the reset switch does not seem to work very well anymore not that its broken I can still use it but I was told this is a better way to reconnect and its true sometimes the reset switch the pin will not work anyway to take the antenna out and wait at least 2 minutes then reconnect the antenna and switch the router back on after some time it reconnects and gives me a limited time of service then disconnects again then I have to try to reconnect again which Is becoming a bit of a pain in the least as my router is in another room and I am disabled and have to go from one room to another to do this operation of trying to bend down and unscrewing the antenna over and over is not very helpful on my legs, fingers and wrists seems to becoming more of a health hazard and sorry but I don't have another phone to try but the echo it only happens at certain times its not my phone as it would happen more often than it does sometimes I cannot hear the echo and other people complain that they can hear an echo when I cannot and sometimes I can hear the echo and they don't hear an echo but I'm sure its not my phone but most important is the issue of the disconnections that I need sorting this only stated to happen back in September when the neighbour above me got there virgin line put in... today 1/20/2017.. I went on an android device with a wifi test and it was seeing that there are a few vm routers near mine and all of them are netgear routers and I was wondering as I saw one on the vm network as a arris group and was wondering if there could be a confliction in these 2 modems causing disconnection errors I have also noticed all my dbm are low compared to all the others on the network I do have a screenshot I can send of this app with the connections but don't know how to send it in this message window..any any help would be very appretiated

Re: Router disconnections

loads of disconections yesterday seems like they have it to a routine of 1 hour so that will be 24 disconections and

the only way is to turn off the router unscrew the antenna and wait 2 minutes and reconect the antenna and turn back on the router for another one hour then get disconected again

it starting to become a bit of a health hazard for a disabled person

still getting disconections today i have allread had three ....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone help fix this problem they have REFUSED any more engineers out so the only thing that can help me now is the people in this forum
