Replacement Coaxial Router?

I'm planning on buying a new router to replace my Super Hub 2. (It isn't very good) I'm trying to eliminate it entirely- so is it possible to connect the coaxial cable that normally connects to the VM hub into my new router? I think it's faster by using the coaxial cable rather than connecting the VM hub in modem mode to another router via ethernet cable.

thanks.

Re: Replacement Coaxial Router?

Short answer no, only hub provided by VM will be connected to the network

Bummer... What is the highest data speed that can come through the hub in modem mode?

Re: Replacement Coaxial Router?

A lot faster than VM's current packages.

For 8 channel DBGs 400Mbps, for 16 channel DBGs (Hub 3) 800Mbps (allthough the extra channels are being used for load balancing)

The usual rule of thumb that capacity should be double the fastest package.
