Port forwarding!

At the risk of incurring the wrath of VM, I would like to forward a couple of ports to allow me to get back into my home LAN. VPN or SOCKS-via-SSH seems to be a good, secure method and this is sort of what I do for a living so it should be simple...

But am I right in interpreting the port forwarding settings as follows:  You can only forward one consecutive, fully inclusive, range of ports per IP address?  All TCP, all UDP, or all both?  It opens a large attack surface if you need, for example, ports 22 and 8080 open.

I know there are ways around this by adding extra IP addresses to things but there has to be a more elegant way to handle it?  I have a Hub 3.  The firmware has improved massively since I got it last June.  I expected better.

Re: Port forwarding!

OK, I realise I should have looked at the rest of the forum. Lots of people having these issues. Sorry for the extra noise!
