Whilst I cant answer that, there will be someone on here will.
And its pleasant to have some general chat about the board, not necessarily VM related. Nice BQM , BTW
Although the real reason for my reply is Id like the recommendation too. Ive done the bottom half of the house with CAT6, and want to do the top half. Which involves lifting a load of boards and running cables in joists, so a decent tester at a decent price would be handy. As Ill likely mess up the panels....and its easier to know before i put the boards back down and fire everything up LOL
Try Amazon, they have some on offer at the moment for under £20 I think. I do not know of a cable tester except for an extremely expensive Fluke one that will test CAT7 cables to their full specification, the actual wiring for all CATx cables is the same.
There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't
I was actually looking at fluke bud as thats the make of my multimeter and my broken thermal imager... But you know yourself how expensive they are. I wonder if Technetix has something as I know they used to do things like the old TE 1250 CATV Install Meters, I wonder if they do cable testers like the UTP05.
I will have a look at Amazon the now also, cheers.
