Really sorry to hear that you're unable to connect to your 2G wireless network, are you getting a specific error when you attempt to connect or is it jus that the 2G network isn't broadcasting?
It might help to change the operating wireless channel of your 2G network. We've got a helpful article here - Changing the Virgin Media router's wireless channel / frequency that will show you how to sign into your Superhub and make the changes.
