The Laptop connects perfectly fine to the Router ( I can access Router setup page, connect to other devices on the network etc), but the Internet does not work. The Wifi icon in taskbar shows normally, ie no warning '!' to indicate that there is no internet available.
The router itself is connected to the internet fine, and internet works fine on all other devices (Multiple devices connected by Ethernet and Wifi, Ie desktop, other laptop, phones, TV etc).
What's more odd is that the laptop connects to the internet perfectly fine on other networks (ie at work at the moment).
I've power cycled the router, cleared temp files, released and renewed IP, flushed DNS Cache, uninstalled and reinstalled Wireless adaptor drivers.
What is it's IP connection? Static or Dynamic? The ARRIS Hub 3.0 does not like static IP address settings.
My desktop on ethernet/LAN could see the rest of my network but not access the gateway properly, giving "server DNS address could not be found" errors. On resetting to DHCP automatic address setting, all works fine now. (This advice came from the phone helpdesk - Chris. Thanks.)
My other devices with dynamic address settings found the WiFi and connected to web fine...
