No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

Hi,

I've been having a few issues recently with my router at home, and have done a little further digging into the network logs and discovered I regularly receive this error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you require any further info just let me know Smiley Happy

Re: No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

Do please post the modem stats for upstream/downstream power levels & the network log. Http://192.168.100.1. And link ROUTER STATUS.

That may shed light on matters. Also, when you reply, please amplify on "a few Issues".

The VM bods take a week or so to get to a thread so we might as well do what we can now.

Is your upstream power level stable?  Like not rising up to 54 dBmv (a tipping point)?

T3 events are usually an upstream issue.  If the power level is stable, then it could be congested upstream which prevents the keep-alives from getting their data slot.  It is a failure of the keep-alive signal that drives a T3 event; 16 consectuive T3s would trigger T4 and the modem would rest, dropping the circuiyt for a minute or so.

The VM bods, when they get to your thread can confirm whether or not your area is congested.  You could search the forum for issues in your town or postcode.

Re: No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

Spoiler

Could my demand affect this seph? As this may be unrelated - But as I Run Games is when i seem to get the spike at present.

If i leave it for 30 minutes or so, then it seems to be absolutely fine. Although if i load a game now, it would seem to go within 1-2 minutes.

May be unrelated but worth while mentioning?

Re: No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

Hey AdamJenno,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

Apologies that you are having issues with your broadband connection.

I appreciate the information you have provided so far this does help us further. With the network log, it is showing the same time stamp, so you can reset this when you get chance.

With the upstream power levels they are now higher from when you posted. I think it is best if we arrange an engineer to look at this for you. I've sent you a PM (purple envelope icon, right corner) requesting some details.

Speak soon

Sam
