No Intranet connection Synology NAS and Virgin Hub 3.0

Hope you can help?

I have just noticed that my Synology NAS can no longer can connect to the intranet. There is an error message within the status which says "connection failed... please check your network settings".

I haven't made any changes to the NAS in the last couple of months, but I do have a new router 'HUB 3.0' because the last 3 routers blew within two months which is really odd. The customer service agents kept on saying it was a bad batch.

Any thoughts?

Simon

Hey Simon,

Thanks for posting Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your NAS, I've seen a few posts like this recently. From what I can see from reading around the community, you'll need to port forward to enable access. You might need to contact the manufacturers to find out what ports you need to forward.

I hope this helps,

Take care.

You do not need to "port forward" for intranet access, it's only if you are trying to access the NAS from outside of your local LAN. Is it WiFi connected?

Hi Tudor

This is what I did in the Synology Nas
Network settings
Network interface
Click LAN
Edit
Changed from a manual configuration to 'Get a network configuration automatically (DHCP)
