No Internet in reading

I was told yesterday our Internet would be down on the 26th October to upgrade the service in our area and that it should be done by 5 o clock. We've still got no Internet and I've phoned twice today but still no help. Could someone tell me what's going on please?.

Were you not given a letter giving a phone No to contact if problems after work completed?
Phone No I was given after same work. - 0800 052 8164
The call team was on the ball when I rang.

I did and they put me through to somewhere else who have got me to do a full reset on the router but still no luck. Thanks.
