we had a new Hub 3 couple of weks back afterHub 2 dies unexpectedly. Since then we've had 2-3 instances of no internet in the morning, wifi off, wired connection to PC has no connection. Last time I was away but Wife noted the hub lights were doing a show, White light, red light, wifi icon on and off, the double arrow synch icon on and off etc.
Seemed to resolve itself after 15 minutes but it being brand new and the old hub having been rock solid for 4+ years, it's annoying, expecialys as I was away and Wife wanted her wifi!
So, checking the various admin tabs on router homepage, I found quite a few entries like this:
2017-09-08 08:34:44.00 84000500 SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Loss of Sync;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; 2017-09-08 08:34:48.00 84020200 Lost MDD Timeout;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; 2017-09-08 08:34:54.00 84000700 RCS Partial Service;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;
... and repeat!
Anyone want to offer some advice, run some remote tests and, ideally, sort it so it doesn't happen again and result in RMGBP (remote marital grief by phone).
Sorry to read you are having an issue with the broadband connection.
From checking your line, the Modem SNR for upstream is running too low and for this I would like to arrange an engineer appointment to check this over for you. I've sent you a PM (purple envelope icon, right corner) with some details for you to confirm please.
