Are the dropouts occuring on devices connected wirelessly or on wired devices as well. If wireless only it would be worth checking with a device connected directly to the hub by ethernet cable. This will determine if it is pure;y a wireless problem or a problem with the internet connection to your hub.
VM's CMTS is constantly "pinging" your cable modem every 30secs and any problems will show up in the Network logs. Posting the logs and the downstream and upstream power levels will give a rough indication on the health of your connection.
Navigate to the hub's GUI using http://192.168.100.1 Don't log in, click the Router Status button in the top right of the screen. Copy \ Paste the Downstream, Upstream, and Network Logs.
Don't worry about the formatting, but do obscure personal information like your WAN IP address.
