Microsoft Win 10 Update still not fixed

Any further news on this problem, please. It is a tad annoying!

Are you referring to the update which caused problems with DHCP?

If so, the resolution is here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/problems-connecting-to-the-i...

Re: Microsoft Win 10 Update still not fixed

Easiest fix is to just give you machine a fixed IP address like say 191.168.0.250 and you will then not be using DHCP.

Re: Microsoft Win 10 Update still not fixed

VM posted this update yesterday in the stickies to this thread:

http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-wireless/UPDATED-Unable-to-Connect-after-Windows-...

You will see strong similarities to message 2/3 in this thread for which Sololobo gets my kudos!

Instaling update KB3206632 fixed the issue for me.

Re: Microsoft Win 10 Update still not fixed

I had to do a full network reset - the update didn't work on any of my computers! I don't know why?

Re: Microsoft Win 10 Update still not fixed

How do you download and install updates if you can't connect to the internet?

A bit ironic that to fix an internet connection problem relies on being able to connect to the internet or have I got this wrong?

Re: Microsoft Win 10 Update still not fixed

I feel your pain! I had tried the Command Line fixes on the other post, but they did not work.

So I had to uninstall some of the most recent updates to my machine.

You can do this by: Pressing Win Key -> Cog Icon (Settings) -> Update and security -> Update history -> Uninstall updates
Then you can start uninstalling the most recently installed updates. It would be best to do this one at a time and then check your internet connection after each one. Once you can connect to the internet, try searching for updates in the usual way.
