I feel your pain! I had tried the Command Line fixes on the other post, but they did not work.
So I had to uninstall some of the most recent updates to my machine.
You can do this by: Pressing Win Key -> Cog Icon (Settings) -> Update and security -> Update history -> Uninstall updates Then you can start uninstalling the most recently installed updates. It would be best to do this one at a time and then check your internet connection after each one. Once you can connect to the internet, try searching for updates in the usual way.
