Massive speed drop during the day

I'm getting as little as 6Mbp but usually 20-45Mbp during the day with my 100Mbp connection.  I've been told it is due to the over subscription of the street cable box and that it was being upgraded before the end of January but I'm still getting the same poor speed during the day although I'm getting 90-100 at 1am!  

How can I find out if they were just delayed with the work, cancelled it or can't speed it up as my postcode is showing no broadband issues!

Just ran four speed tests and had 85-88Mbp at 11:25am....... So things might have suddenly improved but the test will be 4pm-11pm when most people are home.

Well at 14:25 it was 40Mbp

now we have 62Mbps at 22:15

and 72Mbps at 22:17

and 44Mbps at 22:19

then 52Mbps at 22:20

and 20Mbps at 22:22

oh and to complete the set 37Mbps at 22:23

 

Not really a very reliable connection!

And today its worse....

22:20 17ms ping 5.84Mbps Download & 3.43Mbps Upload

22:22 331ms ping 0.78Mbps Down & 4.52Mbps Up

22:24 89ms ping 0.87Mbps Down & 4.43Mbps Up

 

Ouch.....

Hi Cowaski,

 

Sorry to hear you're getting poor speeds, I've just checked your connection and there are no area faults open and all the stats from your hub look healthy. How are you testing speed? if wireless could you try a wired connection and let us know if your speeds improve?
