Internet drops / or extremely slow when on VPN

Hello,

Phoned virgin media "tech support" this morning and got absolutely nowhere.

 

Everytime I connect to VPN on my Super Hub 3.0 it appears to almost restart my router, or at least drop the connection. Then when it does re-appear it is MEGA slow - like unuseable slow.

It only started doing this about a week ago or so.

 

Do I need to change provider to get a router that I can use?

As being able to connect to my workplace VPN is crucial in my line of work.

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

 

Sorry to read you are having issues with your broadband connection.

 

I would like to help further and check your connection for any issues, however I was unable to locate your account. If you can send me a Private Message to confirm your address, I can look into this for you.

 

In the meantime, when the disconnection happens do you notice this on all devices?

Do any of the lights change on the router at all?
