Internet Security

Hello,

I've got a very big problem with my internet. Because I am in gaming domain and you know that here are a lot of stupid people someone stole my ip. Basically I've got a network attack. This is annoying and because is an ip static that person can do this at any time. The attacker is outside from UK so I can't do anything. Maybe if it's there anyway to change my ip to stop this.

Always especially in the evening I've got this network attack and will be good if you can change my ip to stop it. If not this won't have an end.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Internet Security

Hi freakav,

Apologies for your recent broadband issues.

The Hub data you've posted does not show evidence of a DDOS attack. The timeouts (T3's and MDD) are most likely linked to a network fault.

I would have tested your connection to find out what was happening but it looks like you may have changed your Hub since posting.

If you are still having difficulties please post an update and reply to my PM with the requested information (purple envelope icon, top right of page) so that I can locate your Hub details.

By the way, we offer customers on a residential service a dynamic IP address. Static IP's are only offered to business customers. But you are likely to keep your WAN IP for a long time (unless it's lease expires whilst you away on holiday for instance).

Smiley Happy
