Hub needs restarting to find internet

Please help, i have been having an ongoing issue where my hub can't find the internet. Sometimes the 2g has nothing but the 5g is fine, other times they are both gone.   Download speed can be really variable too if i restart the hub all is fab. service status and checks often report no issue, i have had limited support when i call and can't get through most of the time.  Based on another thread here is my network report from the issues experienced this morning. Thanks for any help how to fix this, i work from home and need a reliable connection.

Re: Hub needs restarting to find internet

Hi lupin97,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

Sorry to read you are having issues with your broadband connection.

I've managed to locate your account, the line and hub have come back as fine. There are no faults reported and no time-outs have been reported within 6 days of the router being online, which is good.

If there are time-outs still showing in the network log can you re-post this for me please?

You mentioned this happens through your wireless devices, do you get the same through wired?

It may be worth creating a Broadband Quality Monitor as this will check the performance of the connection. If you do set up the BQM make sure that you go into your router settings > Advanced Settings > Ping > and tick Respond to ICMP echo requests sent to WAN IP.

Let me know how you get on

Sam

Re: Hub needs restarting to find internet

It's important what Sam has asked about wireless, particularly if you are in a different room from the hub. When you reboot the hub, it selects the least congested wireless channels which might be why you can reconnect until it all happens again.
