Hub 3 speed woefully slow!!!

Got brand new Hub 3 yesterday  and I'm supposed to be getting up to 200mb.

Speed tests show 61mb download and 20mb upload.   This is WAY slower than my previous set-up?

Any ideas.

Thanks

Re: Hub 3 speed woefully slow!!!

Hey Zuma,

Thanks for posting and a warm welcome to the community Smiley Very Happy

Sorry to hear about the slow speed test results you're getting.

Can I please ask if you're testing a wireless or a hard-wired connection? Ideally we would like to know the hard-wired speed so we know what we're working with.

If you don't have a cable, just let me know.

Catch you soon,

Take care.

Re: Hub 3 speed woefully slow!!!

Apologies for the delay - life etc.

It's a wireless connection, and supposed to be 200mb. Managed to change hub to get 2g and 5g wireless channels and currently working of 5g.

Speed much better - currently download at 107.3 mb/s and upload at 11.4 mb/s.

I would have expected better?  It's not much more than via the previous router/hub.

What can I realistically expect?  Can I tweak the setting to improve?

Thanks..

Re: Hub 3 speed woefully slow!!!

The wireless on the SH3 is a bit pants, you can try changing the wireless channels around to see if that makes it any better but the only sure fire way to resolve the slow wireless is to put the SH3 in modem mode and connect your own router.

Re: Hub 3 speed woefully slow!!!

Hi zuma,

Thanks for getting in touch, I am sorry to see you have continued to have some trouble with your speeds.

I have taken a look and it seems there was an issue with FECS (Forward Error Corrections) which has now been resolved so hopefully you have seen a further improvement.

If you would like to change some of the wireless settings then the link will help you to get the optimum connection for you.

Let us know how you get on.

All the best

Emma
