Hub 3.0 & New upgrade/update

Hi all, today I received the new package in my home, the VIVID upgrade from Virgin Media with internet speeds of up to 300mbps. However, and previous to my other package (200mbps) I am still not hitting anywhere near those speeds with my ethernet connection although my wireless speed seems to be hitting faster as shown below:

Wired:

Wireless:

Things I have tried:

Reinstalling/Updating Ethernet Drivers and using both the latest Intel release and the latest Motherboard manufactureres drivers

Tweaked/Optimised the network driver properties (turning off the unwanted things for pure gaming) recommended

I have also tried using 1gbps full duplex mode on my network driver but I cannot get a connection, It will only allow me to connect when I select 100mbps full duplex mode. Now I know this might come under the conclusion, however I just wanted to clarify that it is not something to do with my actual Hub setting or something before I find out that it is either my cable, or network adapter.

I have a cat6 cable, this is the one I bought: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J3UYNII/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My motherboard is a ASUS Rampage V Extreme with the Intel(R) Ethernet Connection l218-V Network adapter.

Thank you

The links don't work. What are your wired speeds?

Re: Hub 3.0 & New upgrade/update

If you're getting wireless speeds like that then the speed's being delivered to the hub.

The wired speed is what you'd expect from a 10/100 Ethernet connection.

Have you got anything else with Gigabit Ethernet you can test it with?

Is this a new hub or the same one you had on the previous package?

Re: Hub 3.0 & New upgrade/update

Same one we had previous package but just upgraded to 300mbps from 200mbps, same situation though with my wired connection, is my ethernet connection 10/100?

Re: Hub 3.0 & New upgrade/update

According to the spec's for the motherboard it has Gigabit Ethernet but it's obviously only connecting at 10/100.

The speed's there at the hub as proved by the wireless speed test.

What you need to do if possible is test it with another device with Gigabit Ethernet.

If you get full speeds with that it points to your PC being at fault.

Re: Hub 3.0 & New upgrade/update

If you have a USB 3.0 port you could get something like this:

No recommendation, just first one I found with Google.
