Hub 3.0 - No internet

My new hub 3.0 router arrived today. I've managed to connect my PC and tablet using wifi but cannot connect to the internet. I had the 'router updating' page appear for a while before it said 'connection problem' and 'click me'. I clicked and it went round to 100% then said 'cannot fix, contact system admin' or something similar.

If I disconnect and reattach my old router it connects straight away. The old router is showing downstream power levels of 8.6-9.4dbmv  and upstream of 36/7dbmv.

Have you phoned in and activated your new HUB?

I didn't think it was necessary as it was just a newer router and the line/services were already live...

I'll give them a ring in the morning and report back.

Should be a number for the automated line in your pack. Save you waiting till the morning...

Phoned the 'automated' number this morning and was put through to a call centre when I selected the 'activate new equipment' option.

Anyway it seems the router needed to be associated with my ip before it would work. All fixed now!
