How to limit connected device bandwith

Hi folks,

I am trying to limit bandwidth usage of connected devices to my Virgin Media Superhub.

What is the best way to do this with the Superhub?

Or should I try and get a new router which has this capability?

Cheers,
Guy

Re: How to limit connected device bandwith

I am afraid you will need to get a third party router that supports Quality of Service and put the hub into modem mode.. The hubs do not have this feature.

My current recommendation (and the one I'm installing for a friend in a couple of weeks) is the Asus RT-AC87U:

That's £169.99 on Amazon.

Or if you want a cheaper model, the Asus RT-N66U: https://www.asus.com/uk/Networking/RTN66U/
