Do I need the Forward Path Attenuator with my new Hub 3.0?

Just received the VM Hub 3.0 which is replacing a SuperHub.  When I removed the coaxial cable from the old router, I noticed that a Forward Parth Attenuator 3dB had been installed between the router and the cable.  I have not used this on the Hub 3.0.  Was that the right thing to do?  How will I know whether I actually need it or not?  The engineer who had installed the SuperHub did not draw my attention to this.

Many thanks

Post your power levels and we can advise.

Click ROUTER STATUS

Navigate to downstream and copy/paste your power levels. Please do the upstream while you're at it.

Cheers.

Those levels are fine. They are top dead centre.

So that's your question answered.

Whilst I must thank you for taking the time to help, can you please tell me what exactly you saw in those numbers and why you reached that conclusion?  I would like to learn a bit more

My sticky post on POWER LEVELS and SNR explains it all in reasonable detail.

It's a top class read! Even if I say so myself!
