Data limit

Is there a monthly limit on the data I use on broadband.  If I have a video call with someone on Messenger how much data does this use?  Something that had never cropped up before but I had a video call last night from a friend from overseas and she mentioned that I should watch my limit but I didn't know there was one.  Would be grateful if someone could explain to me.

Re: Data limit

In general all Virgin Media home broadband services have usage limits (there is one exception to this, but not many people are on it as far as I know as it rarely gets mentioned on here).

Other providers in the UK do put limits on services, as do US providers. This is likely why the warning about usage was said.

AFAIK there is no data limit. They manage traffic speed under the conditions given in the link.

Re: Data limit

The only limit is the Traffic Management,  if you upload a large amount at peak times your upload will be temporarily slowed down. You can find details at https://my.virginmedia.com/traffic-management/traffic-management-policy-thresholds.html

There is no hard usage limit like "100GB per month".
