Connection completely dies very often

Recently my internet connection has completely just stopped working, often for hours at a time. This applies to both wired and wireless connections.

When the connection cuts out, a troubleshooter is prompted (192.168.0.1/?tool_troubleshoot) to which all it ever says is "could not fix the problem, please contact your cable operator)

Why has this randomly started happening and how can I fix it

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately that's not very helpful for me. Just as an update on the situation; the TV is also not picking up signal for the channels. I don't know what's going on but it's absolutely infuriating
