Connecting tv to broadband

Hi

I have s Sony tv and am trying to connect it to Virgin wifi using WPS button, have tried several times and the to keeps saying connection failed.   The hub is about 15 feet from the TV and is in direct line of the TV.   Have checked the TV settings Internet is on.  Any help or advice would be great.

Re: Connecting tv to broadband

Hi Jue26,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with connecting your TV to the broadband connection.

When you try to connect without using the WPS button, does the TV find the network and allow you to enter the password or does it give you an error message?

With the Hub 3 it does broadband the both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network as one, it may be worth separating these and changing the name/password to something different, to make it easier for your devices to connect too.

To do this type in 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, sign in with the details underneath the router and on the left go to Advanced > Wireless.

Let us know how you get on

Sam
