Connecting a printer via an ethernet cable

Hi  i have just purchased a printer (epson wf2660)  and it can be connected via wireless/usb or ethernet cable.

Query - can it be connected directly to my superhub 2ac with an ethernet cable.?

And if it can, would it be a network printer usable by everyone on my wireless router?

Any advice would be greatly appriecated.

Peter

Re: Connecting a printer via an ethernet cable

Yes, you can direct directly to the SH.

Yes you can set it up as a network printer so all devices can connect to if if the printer drivers are installed on the device.

Re: Connecting a printer via an ethernet cable

The printer should get it's network IP address from the router, although it's usually better to FIX this by giving it a static IP address. The manual should explain this.

Once it's plugged in, install the epson software , if it's anything like most printers of the last 10 years the software will do all the discovery work of finding the printer.
