ChromeCast and BT Extender 300

Hi all,

Here is my problem in a nutshell.

Wi-Fi signal in the bedroom is weak.

I wanted to use a chromecast in the bedroom, but the Wi-Fi signal was not really good enough.

Bought a Wi-Fi Extender (BT Extender 300)

Wi-Fi in the bedroom now excellent.

Chromcast won't work with the Extender. It says Disable AP Isolation on my Extender or My Wi-Fi Router.

Can anyone help with an idiots guide of what to do?

Thanks

J

Re: ChromeCast and BT Extender 300

not sure if you can turn this off to view the bt extender settings you would access it via -> http://192.168.1.1 Enter your extender’s Admin password (printed on the back of manual guide), and look around for AP Isolation

Re: ChromeCast and BT Extender 300

Thanks.

Your right. It's not an option i can access on the extender.

Is there anyway i can do it on the router, or is that locked down?

Re: ChromeCast and BT Extender 300

See if you can connect the extender with WPS switched off on the router.

Re: ChromeCast and BT Extender 300

reading this -> https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/3213084?hl=en-GB you would using your primary wifi connection so shouldn't be causing a problem.
