Changing the assigned dhcp

My apologies in advance , I'm sure this is a stupid question and there would have been a time I could have worked this out but can't now.

I have an IP camera that when it connects to the network the router assigns 192.168.1.x.

So I now need to set up port forwarding , but my options for the IP addresses to set up with the ports are . 192.168.0.x. The number zero can not be changed to 1.

I was thinking of manually assigning the IP address but from memory I would need the MAC address but I can't find this on the camera.

Does anyone have any ideas please.

Re: Changing the assigned dhcp

I had this same issue with my Superhub 2ac and I thought at first I couldn't change the IP range.  The reason it wouldn't accept a one step change to 192.168.1.1 turned out to be because the first few numbers are reserved for Guest accounts, so you have to 'push' them out of the way first.

It has to be done in two stages.  So firstly I changed it to 192.168.20.1 then re booted.   Then do it again and change it to 192.168.1.1 and it worked.

Re: Changing the assigned dhcp

Just remember you'll need the new IP to log back into the hub at each stage.
