I'm trying to set up my Salus iT500 gateway so that I can control my heating via the internet. On my sky router I just plugged it in and it worked, however it doesn't on my virgin 3.0 router. On the Salus website it says that it needs to be DHCP enabled and connected to a network that has firewall ports 80(UCP/TCP) and 2165(TCP) open. Did anytime know how to do this? I've looked in router settings and I can't see anything obvious!
Did you ever get this resolved? I'm going through the same problems now, Virgin Media Gadget Support configued my new Super Hub 3 correctly as required in the iT500 instruction manual and opened the ports but it still doesn't work!
Worked fine with the Super Hub 2 so thinking I might have to go back to it.
