Broadband not working TiVo fine...?

Hello,

I have shortened my coax cables today and since reconnecting everything the broadband signal has not returned (flashing blue tick). TiVo has been working fine however and I even tried swapping the coax cables from the TiVo to the router to see if it was a wiring issue - it isn't, still no broadband. I have called virgin and the first engineer appointment is for next Friday (in 6 days...).

How shorter did you make the cable, since the signals need to be correctly balanced and since you've cut the cable possible not done correctly can cause whole host of issues not not just.for yourself but others that share the same cabinet since you might have put noise Ingres into network, its possible the engineer might charge you for call out standard fee of £99

Hey Paultechy, thanks for the reply, after leaving the router alone for four hours it started working again... it's a bit of a mistery, hopefully it will keep working

your upstream power level is right on the upper limit, could you also paste the network log.

Thanks for posting. I'm unable to test your connection at the moment  as there is currently some work being carried out in your area (C00771541) which may cause an intermittent service. It's due to be completed by 5pm so if you are still experiencing any issues since altering the coaxial cable can you post back here after this time and we'll certainly look into it with you Smiley Happy
