Any reason Virgin don't offer wifi like BT do?

Paid for theres today on it right now costs a bit but least I can be online via btopenzone (since your service seems to be down see my last post) losing customers due to you (VM) breaking and refusing to get a tech out?

Re: Any reason Virgin don't offer wifi like BT do?

Hi therock247uk,

We do offer Wi-Fi though I fear I may have misunderstood your post (apologies if that's the case).
Just so that I can make sure I have the correct understanding of your situation I wonder if you'd mind answering the below questions please:

  • Have you lost connection on devices connected wirelessly to your Hub?
  • Or is the Internet not working for any devices, wired and wireless?

We wouldn't, or shouldn't, refuse to send out an engineer for loss of service, unless there is an area outage. In that case we should provide the pertinent information.
I have tested the connection linked to the IP address from which you last posted and that is currently online. I am aware though that you may have posted from a friend's house...

I'll keep an eye out for your reply so I can help with this Smiley Happy

Re: Any reason Virgin don't offer wifi like BT do?

I believe OP means the BT WiFi that uses customers' hubs to provide the wifi hotspots.

@OP - Virgin were (are?) looking at doing the same thing at some point in the future, but not had any updates in a while.

Not true, there's now an android app as well, but it's still just the "public" hotspots, not customers' hubs sharing wifi (yet)
