Amazon Prime App on Smart TV not working through Virgin Media

Since I shifted to VM, the Amazon Prime App on my TV has stopped working. TV says unable connect, check router settings, reboot devices. Connected direct to hub via ethernet cable. Netflix app still working. Any ideas anyone please

Hey Bootleexile,

Thanks for getting back to me Smiley Happy

I appreciate the additional info. I've taken a look on the Sony forums for advice and I found this link that describes how to perform a network refresh on your Smart TV, are you able to follow the instructions and try this. Hopefully it will improve the performance.

Hope to hear back from you again soon,

Take care.

Re: Amazon Prime App on Smart TV not working through Virgin Media

Hello Bootleexile,

Thanks for posting and a big welcome to the community Smiley Very Happy

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your Smart TV connection, it's certainly a strange one. Are all your other devices working okay? It's odd that Netflix is working, so the TV obviously has an internet connection. What make is your TV? I'll do some research and find out if we can refresh / reset the Amazon Prime App.

Catch you again soon,

Take care.

Thanks Heather, it's a Sony Bravia. Only 2 years old. A friend told me yesterday that this is actually normal and you have to buy a Firestick to do Amazon video if VM is ISP provider. However judging by your response looks like that may not be the case?

Re: Amazon Prime App on Smart TV not working through Virgin Media

Sorry Heather I forgot to answer the bit about other devices. All others working fine. Netflix app on TV works well. Hive device still working. Development now noticed unable to get on Internet using the TVs built in Web browser. Says no connection, check router settings and reboot devices. Have rebooted but no idea how to check router settings on the VM Hub. Thanks

Heather, thanks ever so much for all the time and effort you've put into this. It works. Done the factory reset went through the network settings and great I'm now watching Amazon Prime. Odd that the Netflix app wasn't affected.
Thanks again
