The Galaxy Ace only has 158 MB of internal storage which explains your "Not enough memory" issue.
In the camera app tap on the cog wheel to open the settings then tap on the spanner icon. Then scroll down to the second page and change Storage to your memory card. All subsequent pictures taken with the camera will be stored to your memory card.
Now, open your Task manager by long pressing the Home button and from the pop-up window select Task manager. Now tap on the Downloaded tab and from each application in the list you can open up another screen for some further options. One of those options will be "Move to USB storage" which actually means your memory card (don't ask me why, I don't know
). Do that for each app to free up space on your internal storage.

Hi, just tried to do this but I can't see the download option in the Task Manager. Could you help this mobile phone rookie please.

Hi tezor1,
Glad to help ![]()
You can go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications. Here you'll see all the apps you've downloaded. You can click on them one by one and click on the option to 'Move to SD card'.
This will free up some of the internal storage. Some applications have this option greyed out - it's the choice of the developer as to whether they enable this or not as some applications don't work correctly when moved to the sd card.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks.

Is there no other way of doing this because evey app I have on the internal memory has the move to sd card greyed out.

Hi, I am having the ame problem as Tezor 1....I have gone into task manager, and found each app, where on the 'Storage' it give the action to 'move to SD card', which would have probably been the solution.....But on each application, this option i greyed out, so unable to do it.
It is my phone memory which is nearly full, and stopping me from receiving text mesages, or anything else, but my SD card i only half full.

I deleted facebook as it was taking up most of the memory, seemed to solve the problem

Thanks, but I didnt really want to delete facebook.....although I dont use it that often :/
Is there anyway of making the button 'save to SD card' active again....cause it seems to be something in the set up, which has greyed out this option ?

Hi paula123,
It's unfortunately down to the developer of the application as to whether they enable 'Move to sd card' in the application options. Some applications need to be on the phone memory to perform at their best and can have issues if moved to the sd card.
At this stage, it would be best to remove applications that you don't use, or find applications that do the same thing that are smaller in size to help combat this.
You could also have a look in the Play Store to see if there are any applications that will help with your memory issues and would be down to your own discretion. If anyone has any suggestions, please reply to this thread ![]()
Many thanks.

I have a samsung galaxy ace that has been crashing for ages, its totally crashed today and wont come back on at all. I've removed the memory card and looked at it on the PC and it looks as though everything on the phone was stored on it as I can view it all on the PC, but my question is, is there still likely to be any pictures/videos etc stored in the internal memory? I need to send the phone in for repair but dont want to lose anything that may not have been stored on the external memory card.
