blocking texts

I got a blackberry curve & I am getting fed up with the amount of texts I get every day with 19 second or 15 second messages, how can I block these texts?

Check the message settings, you can I beleive block incomming texts from numbers you have received a text from in the past

I have no idea for the significance of 15 or 19 second texts - are these different to normal txts in some way?

I am receieving unwelcome texts from one number on my Nokia N8 and I would like to block it.  Can anyone help please?  I have looked through the settings and can't find anything.
