VoiceMail on Galaxy S3

My wife recently transferred over to VM and a Galaxy S3. Everything seems fine, however her voice mail never kicks in, regardless of how many rings any caller hangs on for.

There's probably a setting somewhere for the voicemail. Can anyone tell me where it is please?

Thanks

Re: VoiceMail on Galaxy S3

Having same problem on BB 9800, ringing but not switching to VM - rang CS and they just suggested I 'ring 222 and follow instructions' - alas no change.

Re: VoiceMail on Galaxy S3

Exactly the same. 222 did not work!! I followed the instructions to the letter.

I looked of the web and found I could get my "Voicemail Box Number" by dialing *#67# and dial. A menu appeared telling me all my box numbers etc were "Unset".

I phoned VM last night, and they totaly partonised me, and insisted I dialed 222 and then *#67# again.  Their response was "Oooo, you need to be put through to our technical team! I'm afraid they're closed now". I went through their automated service to talk to someone in the technical team, and they tell me I need to speak to someone in their technical team???

Anyway, I'll have to try again tonight, a bit earlier. I just hope they open between 6-7pm!!

Re: VoiceMail on Galaxy S3

Hi both,

I don't know how much success you've had on this past your last posts, and can appreciate being told to do the same thing over and over again could prove frustrating

The first process for setting up voicemail is 222. You need to fully listen to the message and the phone will update in roughly 20 mins - after this you just need to turn the phone off and on.

Now from what you've said, you've done this already. The next step would be for them to check if voicemail is active on your account, and if so, to reset your voicemail diverts on our system - if this doesn't resolve it they'd need to then pass it onto our technical team.

The technical team are open 8am-8pm but best to call by about 6:30-7pm if you can so they can effectively deal with your query. It's an unfortunate oversight that the technical option on the automated system does indeed firstly send you to our general team but this is typically due to them being able to resolve issues with their tools. If it goes beyond this then the technical team have access to more indepth network tools to be able to assist.

Many thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I've phoned 222 at least 10 times! I listened to the whole message, and still nothing.

I'm currently on holiday, but once I get back, I'll make the call to the technical team. I did originally want the voicemail set up BEFORE I went on holiday...

Re: VoiceMail on Galaxy S3

Hi there is a setting in phone options about fowarding your call's to a number when not answer and out of reach or busy you have to put in the voicemail number which you would have got in a reply text after setting up voicemail  in the box after selecting the option and save number should work then.

Hi again mildenhall,

Hope you had a good holiday. Did you manage to contact the Technical team about your Voicemail issue?

Many thanks.
