Received my new galaxy ace plus today. I am having trouble connecting to my home wifi via Netgear VMDG280. My phone recognises the wireless connection and allows me to enter password, but when connecting, it instantly disconnects. This repeats in a cycle. scan, connect, disconnect.
I have been connected successfully with my PS3 to my Netgear via wifi using the same details for months now without any problem and continue to do so. But this isn't the case with the mobile.
I have tried all resets(modem, phone), channel changing, different security etc. nothing seems to work.
Anyone have the same problem or can shed any light?

"There have been some articles online of the Samsung Galaxy Ace not connecting to Netgears but one of them said the fix was to reset the router to factory settings. Then it worked, sounds odd but I guess it worked for that person."
You know what? this worked! So for me also, this was the solution.
I tried without the security first and it still wasn't connecting. So tried the above.
Thanks for your help.

I have the same issue as other people & Virgin mobile have had my phone back 4 times now and say there is no problem with the phone, we have had two different virgin hubs, tried next door's and used the virgin hub in bluewater and it does the same. There is definitely an issue with the software and the virgin hubs as it works on a BT hub. I am getting very angry now as we have 3 virgin mobiles with you, Internet, TV and a Mortgage and I feel that I am being treated with disrespect especially when a virgin mobile guy at Bluewater witness this. None of the other phones switch off and we have done many factory settings and tried different channels. My contract still has 5 months to run and I have got to pay £100.00 to get out of this. Surely if you sell me a virgin phone and my contract is with you, but it will not work with any other virgin hub anywhere I go then surely Virgin mobile should be sorting this issue out now. We have seen other forums that go back to 2011 so why is this still being an issue. What was the outcome.
