Picture message charges

Hi all ,

Back again with another question I would like your help with.

My daughter is on a £10.ish sim only deal where she gets 200mins, Unlimited txts (3000), Virgin to Virgin minutes (3000) and 1GB data.

Her recent bill was 22.ish and when I looked on the itemised statement it was all picture txts that were responisble for the extra.

Can someone please confirm whether or not picture message are include in the txt bundle section?

No they aren't as far as I'm aware. It's only standard text messages that you get an allowance for. Picture Messages are 40p a time to send (which means it's usually cheaper to email from the phone as it's covered by the data allowance)

Use WhatsApp, you can send pics & messages as part of your data allowance, so stops the 40p rip off of picture messages.

It is free to use for the 1st year, with all features working, just like BBM, only for most other phones and it's free to donwload for all phones, apart from i-tunes which is 69p

I use it between my blackberry and the wifes i-phone and no costs for pics or messaging, just uses your normal data allowance

Whatsapp works from Blackbeery, Android and Nokia smart phones including Windows phone, you need the app on both phones, also it work internationaly as well so its great if you have family/friends overseas
