Kies not recognising​g Samsung Galaxy s2

Hi I don't know if some one on the virgin media team can pick this up. Basically samsung kies is a piece of software that samsung  galaxy s 2 and others use to connect there mobile phone to the computer to transfer files between them. the problem is my samsung galaxy 2 is not being recognised by my computer so I rang samsung tech support and they have just got back to me he said its a known fault when u download the software  on a virgin media broadband connection as I have not heard the problem happening with any other provider of broadband if some one could help it would be great thanks hopefully we can get it sorted.

Have you tried downloading the software and going through a different internet connection, maybe a friends to see if this is the case?

Hi ive just installed this will give it a try myself and let you know if i have any problems with connecting s2.

Hi you are right the program does not see the phone but mine installs device drive and i can see storage on sd card in my computer. what are you trying to do will your phone ie update or add ringtones.

Hi update got the program to reconize s2 plug phone in pc use mass storage opition to connect to pc go to my computer. See if its there then start kies it found my phone. Tried this few time's still working give it a try .

Very weird guys,

If its possible just to try on a different connection bandit2329 just to make sure coincidentally there's a seperate issue I would be extremely grateful.

If this turns out to be a problem with the phone/virgin media broadband please post back and I'll speak to our Media side and handset testing as appropriate (and will collect examples at that stage if needed).

Hi just took it to McDonald's and used there free wifi and tried it there and still it do'snt  work! So as far as I'm concerned the phone is not fit for purpose!

Hi have you read post i can connect my s2 to Kies works fine updated firmware tonight.
