I am bit of a newbie to this but

I have a Dongle for Broadband and found out that I could send text messages (SMS) using the keyboard of my laptop. Great I thought especially As they gave me £4 off my monthly tariff as I am a old customer.

Next bill came and I found out they charged me 10pence per text to do this.

Heres the question

As i have 1000 text thrown in with my mobile phone (which I don't use) is it possible top get a phone 

that connects to my laptop and use the laptop keyboard to send text via my phone

Or am I just "day dreaming"

Does ur dongle have a sim in it? My mums with voda and hers does so she takes her sim out of he phone an uses it with her dongle in her laptop to use the data an text allowance on her mobile contract

Yes it does, they are both Virgin

That is so simple BUT SO BRILLIANT

I knew about swapping sims in phones but ....I wouldn't of thought of that one

What kind of phone do you have?

An old Alcatel "retro"

Now I can use up the text allowance on the laptop and I don't have to buy 

a QWERTY phone
