Internet charges

I am on PAYG, the phone I have has internet available, but I do not use it, I only need the phone for emergencys.

I went on line some weeks ago to check my balance. After hours of trying, site always seems to be down.

When I found my balance very low, due to internet connections I knew nothing about. I contacted the team.

The team told me the phone would update itself and I would be charged.

I tried to disconnect the internet from my phone as the team said I could. Now I have found out I have been charged another 50p on the 31 Aug.

I have just sent the team a mail asking for them to disconnect the internet their side, as I am fed up oif paying for somthing I dont want.

On top of that we live in B45 Birmingham and had no landline for ten days. Virgin Media seem to be making money for nothing. daylight robbery if you ask me

Re: Internet charges

I have no idea about the landline as i can't get Virgin Media at home :smileysad:

But just call 789 and ask to switch off the data = no more internet no more charges

If you connect by accident then its 50p a day just for the 1 unknowing connection by your phone

Re: Internet charges

Thanks John for reply.

Have pointed out to VM phone was switch off each time connection was made, but still a charge was made, no refunds given.

Was charged at one time well over £3 for internet conection on one occasion, VM admitted error to that and refunded.

Sent email to VM Mobile to switch off internet, auto responce sent back, so still waiting.

I did not have any trouble with charges like this with my last supplier of 12 years, so why with VM?

Re: Internet charges

No idea on that, but call 789 and ask for the data removal, email reply has gone to pot over the last month or two - they made redundant the agents in Trowbridge
that did this and move the work to Manilla.

Virgin Media support British workers - NOT
