Still stuck on 2.1 (1.21.405.2) - No update option...
Getting a little short on patience now.
Same here, still stuck on 1.21.405.2 (as of 13:58 this afternoon)
Now running very low on space on the internal phone memory, and can't move anything to the SD card.

And even 9 days after posting this, still no update.
Haven't even had a reply on anything by e-mail either.

This really is ******* ridiculous.
I e-mailed my details to twitter@virginmedia.co.uk on the 16th November, and since then this has happend on twitter:
19th November
"We've escalated this to the right team now and it shouldn't be long before you're contacted. BMc"
Asked for an update on the 22nd November, only to be told
"I believe they've been a little more busy than usual. I'll see if I can chase things up for you. PM"
26th November, asked if there was any other news
"Hi - You should already have an update available, http://bit.ly/gywKB5 ST"
I replied "@virginmedia As I have previously mentioned here http://tinyurl.com/38a9fca I am NOT able to update yet. Have already emailed you about this"
You replied
"Aah ok, I didn't know you were having that problem. I'll see if we can get an update. ST"
Suprise suprise, still NOTHING.

"We're working with HTC on upgrade path for the rest currently"
Can you explain the intermittant update then from the 1st Dec? It's been reported on this very topic that some sort of update went out on the 1st Dec, which appeared to push 1.21 up, and then onto 2.2.
Was this update only going out to select customers/firmwares?
I have 1.21.405.2 but never received any update.
Are Virgin able to share the OTA updates that have been sent out for the HTC Desire since it's release?

I still have the 1.15.405.3 firmware and i am still having the occasional data connection problem with the handset. I am hoping an update will cure this problem as others i know with up to date HTCs seem ok, although they are on different networks.
I can't understand this firmware selection process, not only are lots of customers not on 2.2 yet, but there is still many of us not even on 1.21.

Was informed by virgin tech team that the updated and the path had been suspended due to problems with the software and there is no date for the re-release

I'm still stuck on 1.15.405.3 and can't get to 1.23 so spoke to tech team yesterday and thats when they gave me the good news. They are not the first company to have these problems and HTC can't do anything as the software has been fiddled with by Virgin.

I also had a call from their tech support telling me that the update is now blocked due to there being too many reported bugs with the release. No ETA on fix, waiting on HTC apparently.
Strange that I know quite a few using the Desire on Virgin and other networks and they have no problems.
I'd like to know more about these 'bugs' and would also like to be given the choice to upgrade.

Well I hope that the 95% of customers that have had the upgrade are allowed to roll it back to the original version!!
Like bad_back, I'd like to have the chance to upgrade. Mark_Wilkin stated here that most of the minor bugs could be resolved with a simple factory reset.
