New to galaxy smart phone. Only use texts and occasional phone calls. Credited £15 in Feb. then £10 in March. I understood that simply 8 charged 8p per text and call. Puzzled to find no credit left after 27 uses (out and received) and no promised free texts. Phoned help line to be told that I had used emails, which I have not- don't know how to - then told I was paying for data! Do not understand this at all, how can I be paying for data? Help please.

You using an andriod devices and that will be connecting to the internet automatically, through systems updates, different apps etc. So you will have been getting charged 50p a day.

You need to turn the data connection off which you can do if you hold down the power button and select 'Data Connection' so that it says 'deactivated' or if you do want to use the web, I'd suggest you get the data bundle which gives you 1GB of data for £5 a month http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/genericContent.do?c

Thanks for that info, have now deactivated data network mode.
Should I want to use the £5 web bundle, can I do it anytime in addition to buying pay as you go time? How much time will this £5 web bundle give me?
Many thanks
