I have two numbers linked to my profile and on one of them I topped up 10£ a few months ago but I lost the SIM card and bought a new one. Now, I'm left with a useless non-working number and 10£ on it that I cannot use. Would it be possible to transfer the money to my current working number or get a refund for it ?

give Virgin customer services a call on 789 (free) from your mobile and ask if they can transfer the balance for you.
With both numbers being registered to yourself on the same account, this used to be a quick and simple procedure. (Although since a system upgrade I've been given conflicting answers when I've asked myself).
Your alternative is to ask for a replacement SIM with the £10 credit on.
