From what I'm aware, you can only upgrade the account if you are within the last 30 days of your contract. If this ends in March you'd be looking at an upgrade due in February.
What you can do, is possibly buy out the contract where you pay the remaining contract which will leave you free to then take a new contract. This of course would mean a new credit check along with a new contract term.
