Confusing payment options

I pay my mobile bill in two parts like every one else, but since the merger with 02, one is taken by 02 and the other by Virgin! Very confusing!

VM/O2 Contracts

Can I cancel My O2 mobile contract without affecting my VM Contract.Coming to end of 18mth O2 contract as part of Volt. Have renegotiated my VM contract to:- Volt Gig1 broadband, Maxit TV and Anytime Chatter phone.No longer need mobile.
