Yet another issue with porting a number

After a quick scan here, it seems apparent that this is something of an epidemic. I called 789 on Thursday (24th of November) an was told my number would be ported from O2 the next day. It's now Saturday. Outgoing calls are from my old number and can be made without issue. Calls to my old number receive an error message (number not in use). Text messages are not being sent or, as far as I can tell, received, from my old number. Just tried to call 789 again to be told there is a problem being connected so I can't even speak to someone there.

This is my business number I'm talking about here. I'm losing money. Not a good start Virgin.

I'm really sorry to hear about the issue with the porting of your number.

 

We are aware of issues with number ports that were due to complete last Friday but have been advised these should be resolved within five working days. 

 

If you continue to experience difficulties please give our team a call on 150 from any Virgin landline or 0345 6000 789 from any other number.
