Upgrade?

I got a call from Virgin saying that my contract was ending soon and that I was able to get a handset upgrade.
After a few minutes of questions I was asked to call back. On calling back I was told that I wasn't able to get the upgrade I wanted and that my credit check was rejected. I will now finish my contract and move to another provider. Usual offhand customer care from Virgin.

Same here, been with Virgin for years and never been late paying or missed a payment, very strange.

Oh well, I'll give the 30 days notice and go elsewhere but very odd customer service from Virgin
